Single Cover

Cover for the Insured and Dependent Children and two (2) other Unrelated Children provided You are travelling together on the Journey.

You and Your Travelling Companion(s)

Cover for the Insured and Spouse/Partner and Dependent Children and two (2) Unrelated Children provided You are travelling together on the Journey.

Dependents

Dependent Children means the unmarried dependent child or children of You (including step or legally adopted children) who are:

  1. Up to and including eighteen (18) years of age; or
  2. Up to and including twenty-one (21) years of age whilst they are full-time students at an accredited institution of higher learning and primarily dependent upon You for maintenance and support.

Dependent Children and Grandchildren and two (2) Unrelated Children are covered for free when you purchase this Policy. There is no restriction on the number of Dependent Children covered but all must be named on the Policy. Benefit limits apply.

You must at least be eighteen (18) years old when You apply.

You must not be over the Maximum Age of eighty five (85) when you apply for a Policy.

You have fourteen (14) days from the date We confirmed, electronically or in writing, that You are covered under Your Policy to decide if this insurance meets Your needs. You may cancel Your Policy simply by advising Us in writing within those fourteen (14) days to cancel it. If You do this We will refund any premiums You have paid during this period.

These cooling off rights do not apply if You have commenced the Journey or You have made or You are entitled to make a claim during this period.

You can purchase Your travel insurance on the day Your travel commences, prior to the commencement of Your journey.

You have fourteen (14) days from the date we confirmed, electronically or in writing, that You are covered under Your Policy to decide if this insurance meets Your needs. You may cancel Your Policy simply by advising us in writing within those fourteen (14) days to cancel it. If You do this we will refund any premiums You have paid during this period.

Yes – the excess is $100 on any claim under the International/Worldwide plans or $50 under the Domestic Plan.

Yes – however cover is subject to the policy limits, terms, conditions and exclusions as set out in the Chubb Holiday Protection (Domestic Travel insurance or Cancellation Protection) Combined Policy Wordings and Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide (FSG).

No – under the International Travel Plan, pre-existing medical conditions are excluded from cover, unless your loss arises from a pre-existing medical condition listed within the automatically covered medical list located at section 6 within in the Chubb Holiday Protection (International Travel insurance or I Cancellation Protection) Combined Policy Wordings and Product Disclosure Statement and Financial Services Guide.
